The week days can be enjoyed just like weekends. Before you give me proves that I'm wrong, here are the tips to help you have a fabulous week.
1. Have a plan: Irrespective of your work schedule, planning your week ahead will help you prepare mentally and emotionally for the days ahead as last minute plan can lead to frustration. You can free yourself of unnecessary headache by ironing ahead, polishing, refilling the gas, servicing the car and every other things that will help make you ready.
2. Wake up early: This may not work for some people who get to work late into the night, but trust me, being an early riser pays a lot as it safeguard the consequences of waking up late.
3. Arrive on time: Despite people's mentality of 'African time', you can still set the standard and reach the appointed places on time. It saves you from embarrassment of the bus leaving you behind.
4. Eat well: Don't ever try to run your engine without fuel. Always ensure you do not skip your breakfast. Also, accompany your meals with enough water and fresh fruits. It's essential to your physical well being.
5. Make someone happy: It is very possible to forget the world with the tight schedule at work. Care must be taken not to neglect the people in our lives. Please create time for your family.
6. Pursue an hobby: You need also to relax and make yourself happy, don't you?. Hence, you will need to give a bit of your time to writing, drawing, reading, meditating or whatever it is that entertains you.
7. Listen to music: Good music is the food of the soul remember.Enjoy your time alone. Let the rhythm of melodious tunes drown every traces of anxiety. Don't forget, it's your right to enjoy!
8. Do something silly: You don't have to always wear that serious look. You can spice up your day by teasing your spouse, sit with the kids and enjoy cartoons, sing aloud in the bathroom, tickle your siblings etc. However please, never try going to work in your pyjamas.
9. Finish the day's work: As God gives you each day your daily bread, it is also important to ensure each day's work is completed that day especially if it can be helped. Procrastinating will not get the work done. So, try all you can not to carry any task over.
10. Pray: You might have to remember the poem " Read your bible, pray every day...". The place of devotion and fellowshiping with God cannot be overemphasized. It's the best source of nourishment, strength and favour. Please! Create time for God.
In all you do the rest of the week, please don't forget to wear a smile as it's the key to many doors.
Have fabulous week ahead!
